The Standard for Mineral Concentrate and Other Fine Material

The Flow Table Test

  • The FTT is particularly well-suited for concentrate cargo with particle sizes less than 7mm. The test involves preparing a conical sample of the material and subjecting it to controlled impacts on a flow table. The resulting flow behavior of the sample provides valuable insights into its flow moisture point (FMP), a critical parameter in determining its transportable moisture limit (TML).

  • By choosing eDOT Marine for your FTT needs, you're choosing a partner who prioritizes accuracy, compliance, and the safety of your maritime operations. Our dedication to maintaining the highest standards, coupled with our extensive experience in iron ore fines testing, makes us the ideal choice for ensuring your cargo's seaworthiness

Our Approach:

  • The Flow Table Test (FTT) has long been the cornerstone of cargo liquefaction risk assessment, trusted by laboratories worldwide, including those in India. The FTT's efficacy lies in its ability to simulate the stresses bulk cargo experiences during sea voyages, providing a reliable indicator of its potential to liquefy.

  • At eDOT Marine Laboratory, we recognize the importance of precision in every step of the testing process. That's why we were the first in India to mount our flow table in strict compliance with ASTM C230-68, the standard specification for this apparatus. This commitment to accuracy ensures that your test results are not only reliable but also comparable to those from any accredited laboratory globally.
